Fundraising Trio Jump For Charity
Three work colleagues from a South Wales van centre are jumping into action to help raise over ?3,000 for charity.
Parts manager, Darren Mainwaring and workshop technicians Rob Dobbin and Craig Williams from Sinclair Volkswagen Van Centre in Cardiff will plunge 10,000 feet during a parachute jump, raising funds for Help the Heroes and Cancer Research Wales.
Leaping from a plane is second nature for Darren, who will be completing his third charity parachute jump, although it will be the first Rob and Craig.
As a regular fundraiser Darren firmly believes it’s important to do your part in supporting worthy causes.
He said: “Although I know what to expect I will still get nervous as it gets close to actually stepping out of the plane.
“For this jump Rob and myself will be raising money for Cancer Research Wales in support of Rob’s dad who is suffering from the illness. Craig is putting all his fundraising efforts into raising awareness and funds for Help the Heroes.”
“We may be a little anxious on the day of the jump but in reality it is just a small charitable gesture which we hope will make a big difference to the great work of Help the Heroes and Cancer Research Wales.
